Pastoral Care & Christian Life Guidance · Los Alamitos, CA

Whatever hour
you need someone.

Weddings, funerals, hospital rooms, and the conversations that happen at the kitchen table. That's been the job for twenty-two years, first as a pastor, now also as a certified life coach.

Pastoral care beyond the church walls.

"The church has office hours. Grief doesn't. I decided a long time ago to work the second schedule, and to keep the door open to anyone who needs it."

Not everyone who needs a pastor attends a church. For over two decades, I've found that some of life's most meaningful ministry happens far from a sanctuary: in hospital waiting rooms, around kitchen tables, in coffee shops, on front porches, and in conversations that happen when life becomes overwhelming.

I didn't set out to become a pastor. I simply kept saying yes to where God was leading. After seven years of ministry preparation and service, I was ordained in 2002. My education at Liberty University in psychology and Christian counseling gave me a strong foundation, but my greatest education came from walking alongside people through real life.

For twenty-two years in pastoral ministry, and especially over the last decade, I've seen something that changed how I think about the work. Many people who need encouragement, biblical wisdom, and compassionate guidance never walk through church doors. Others once attended and quietly drifted away. Many are navigating marriage, grief, career transitions, family conflict, loneliness, or spiritual questions without knowing where to turn. Those are the people I feel called to serve.

I served as Assistant Pastor in three different congregations. In my final years on church staff, I stepped away from behind the pulpit and into organizational leadership, overseeing more than 200 volunteers: recruiting, training, mentoring, resolving conflicts, and building teams devoted to creating a welcoming environment for guests and church families. That season taught me that the most significant ministry wasn't happening on the stage. It was happening in conversations before and after services, in hallways, parking lots, break rooms, and ordinary moments where people finally felt safe enough to share what was really going on in their lives. That's where pastoral care comes alive.

Today I offer personal pastoral care, biblical life coaching, Christian counseling, mentoring, and spiritual encouragement: practical guidance rooted in Scripture, not another self-help program. You don't have to become a church member to receive it. You just need someone willing to meet you where you are.

I'm based in Los Alamitos, CA, and serve individuals, couples, and families throughout Southern California. I also travel regionally to officiate weddings, lead memorial services, teach, and speak at churches, organizations, and events.

He answered at 1am and was at the hospital before 2. My father was not alone when he went. I will never be able to repay that.

Four months of counseling before the wedding, and he still remembered the small things about us when he stood up to speak.

I hadn't been inside a church in eleven years. He never once made that a condition. He just sat down.
